My 98 year old Mom needed a special ‘Mother’s Day’ greeting this year so I gave her a homemade card featuring a watercolor of a hen and chick. I recently turned this into an engraving on plexiglas for a demonstration printing.

This painting along with several others was selected to be displayed during the opening event of the new Painter’s Lodge Art & Cultural Center, organized by a group of local art enthusiasts and members of the business community to help artists & artisans show and sell their work. The lodge will be decorated for the holidays with over 30 festive trees. Friday kicks off with live jazz, wine & cheese and on Sunday, Santa will visit over Brunch. Open to Dec 31st.

Come talk to the artists who gathered this August to paint the scenes in and around Paradise Meadows. We will be displaying and selling our sketches and finished pieces in an informal show that runs thru the holiday season.

My annual trek to Mt Washington at the end of August, again provided a wealth of material. These three were all 'up at the break of dawn' paintings to capture the gorgeous colors just as the sun is lighting the sky and the mountain ranges.

Several die-hard artists commemorated International Paint-Out Day, September 9th, in the pouring down rain, cheered on by a chorus of ravens at the Wei Wa Kai campground looking towards a misty Rebecca Spit.
"Maude" 18" x 24" oil on canvas
Maude celebrated her 96th birthday this October. Her marvelous spirit was the challenge to capture in this commissioned portrait to commemorate the occasion.
