I will be showing 50 works from the studio. Many have never been on display, such as the 3 new pieces shown here: “Beak Encounter” (SolarPlate etching, $300), “Study of Dougie and Noelle” (pastel, $2,500), and “Sunrise on Albert Edward” (oil, $450). I'll be present during the reception and will be talking and answering questions about some of the new techniques I’m exploring.
Recent Commissions
Both of these pastel portraits (approximately 15” x 15”) were given as surprise gifts. I was fortunate enough to have Vayda pose for me in the studio. “Greyson” was created from a composite of several photographs, and though not my favorite way of capturing a personality, I am fairly proud of this one.

Best of Show
“Ginger Nose”
Intaglio Etching 7.5" x 7.5"Oil on panel 16” x 11”
I seldom enter shows on the mainland, due to the issues of travel time, and shipping expense. However, The Federation of Canadian Artists has devised a show that provides an opportunity for ‘out of town’ artists to participate. Each entry was submitted unframed, and slipped into provided 8” x 10” frames at the gallery. There was an overwhelming response from both Canadian as well as international artists. The prize for ‘Best of Show’ was $1000! There are still a few prints available in both framed ($350) and unframed ($250) versions.
